Aquarium trip! {June 2011}

We had a fun trip to Atlanta, for Reagan to visit Nemo and all his buddies at the Aquarium.

Oh!  And I am happy to report the biscuit is officially using the potty!
The first time was 1 week ago today, and she had one accident the next morning.  That's it!
We're so proud of our big girl in her Ariel pantay's, she even wears them through the night.
Im-press-ive!  The best birthday present ever in my opinion : )

On our way to Max's for lunch, we hear a bag pipe playing...?

In the middle of the street in downtown Atlanta?! We were so confused.

A hearse parked outside some building and news people with cameras...?

A casket hanging out the back of the hearse, OPEN, with a man dressed in a full hockey uniform, mask and all?

THEN the bag pipe lady spots us with Reagan and starts playing the Scooby Doo theme song,
Star Wars, the hokey poky, la cucaracha and...?! FOR A FUNERAL!?

I don't follow hockey but apparently the team in town, the Atlanta Thrashers, has a new owner who is choosing to move them out of state. So they were having a "funeral" outside the radio station right next door to the restaurant.

OOOOOOOH. I get it now.

The lady on the pipes, Winter Taylor, was GREAT and so nice. I've never seen a woman on them before though! We talked to her for a bit and she made sure to tell Reagan she was playing songs for her. So sweet!

Wow, the bagpipes just give me goose bumps. I've only been to one wedding where they were played, and hopefully we'll have another one someday! I would hire Winter, if , uuuuuh, we got married again?!

: )

I love to see her little self running!

This one is going to be framed in the house.  I looove it, they are so cute together : )

This one too, for sure : )

I'll be back soon,
xoxo

Butterflies : ) {June 2011}

This was such a cool project!

I posted a while ago pics of Unsa Aba with Reagan the night he brought them over.  She was so excited about baby butterflies, and was pretty patient with them.  This was Alden's idea he ordered from Insect Lore along with the baby lady bugs.
I didn't get to actually see them form the cocoon's, they did that while we were asleep, but we got to see them emerge from them as beautiful butterflies about 2 weeks later.  I was checking them on the kitchen counter one day while I made breakfast, and not one minute later I heard fluttering.  So of course I grab the camera, and we watch like hawks (haha) waiting in the next four to do something.  I turned away for a few more minutes after waiting forever, and missed another one.  They're fast!
SOOO cool : )

Sorry for so many shots of them, but they were so pretty!  I couldn't help it!

Reagan LOVED setting them free outside. (which was *only* after I got all the pictures I wanted) We told her they were going to find their friends and she was thrilled.

This is what the cocoons looked like the morning they were 'born.'

Here's the newborn!!!
This was about five seconds after he emerged, and you could watch his wings grow and expand right there before you.  He held real still for about 10 minutes wabbling like a drunk man.  So awesome!

We kept the habitats and will be ordering more caterpillars and baby ladybugs soon.  I would definitely recommend getting them for any little kid.

The big 3-0 {July 20, 2011}

I had the best birthday : )

I'm old now though!  30 to be exact.

This one has hit me for some reason, like maybe I'm a grown up now.
It's weird.
I feel no different obviously, and I'm not scared of a number, it just seems strange to not be in my twenty's!

Junior made the calls to our little close bunch and had a party the night before my birthday at California Dreaming.  I was even surprised with my favorite birthday cake.

 Perfect : )

When we walked out of the resturant, Reagan started to panic because that meant the party was over...
"Oh no!  My want evabody to tum to my house!
Tummon evabody, it a be FUN!"
The only one she convinced was Unsa Aba.  He was NOT saying no to that sweet little invite, so he came and played with her while she took her bath.
: )

For my birthday...

We have talked about the movie theater for a couple months now, and I keep telling Reagan we will go see Winnie the Pooh on mommy's birthday.  Today's the day!  The three of us went to lunch at Firehouse with Ashton, Jack, Mehwhetz, and Nani- and then headed for the movies.  Reagan LOVED it, and cried when it was over (for a minute) and said "let's play it again!"

I love this picture... perfect reminder of the day : )

I just had to post these, even though I'm still behind on our summer pictures.

Oh and HUGE news!!!  Someone is using the potty now!
Four times today and in big girl panties... Woo Hoo!
Hope she can stick with it ; )
