Helping out at Mom's shop- Master's week 09

Mom needed some help a couple days for masters and the little bit we could do was offered! Reagan assisted me one day, and Junior kept her the other. Reagan does okay with the big dogs, as long as she can watch them FROM A DISTANCE... : )

Troy and Kristina April 2009

Reagan and I took Troy and Kristina to Riverwalk for their first REAL shoot together. They never really had engagement pictures taken, so I wanted to take some for them. Kristina loved them, and Troy said "The pictures of me aren't so bad" (like he was surprised) He expected to hate every picture of himself, but I thought both of them photographed wonderful.

That's the part I enjoy about photographing people. When they look at the images and feel good about themselves. I always try to capture someones best features and personality, and I love when the end result truly represents who they are. Knowing that these will be the images they look back on to remember this stage in their lives is very fulfilling.

This was my favorite-
There were 60 pictures total so I know it will be hard to make decisions, but I hope they get a portrait for their new house. They were all gorgeous.

This black & white was Troy's favorite.

Camp Fire at Pine Camp...4-4-09

To start Master's week off right, Mom decided to have dinner at her house. Since the weather was nice, and everyone needed a break, we went out for a campfire complete with hotdogs on sticks.
Because of Reagan's 8:00 bathtime and 8:30 bedtime, we ended up leaving when everyone else was arriving. Oh well. I was disappointed all the way home, that I couldn't stay and visit. But when I got home, my Reagan melted me with the smiliest bath time and sweet little whispers of conversations, and made it all worth it. Sometimes I feel like I can't absorb all her little isms. I don't want to ever forget the little things about her now, at this age. We video and OBVIOUSLY take pictures, but it's never the same. Maybe we should start making a time machine... : )

Karen and Josh - Wedding March 28, 2009

Well, Karen and Josh had a beautiful wedding. Having spent the whole day, glued to their side, I can say that they are so happy together. I stayed in the room to photograph their private moment seeing each other for the first time that day, and they were so cute together. I wish them the best of luck, and they seem to be off to a good start.

Karen and Josh have been planning this event for a while, and the attention to detail really showed. Karen had alot of family heirlooms, like her grandmothers wine glasses and Aunt Teena and Uncle Nick's baby bracelets tied to her bouquet, along with her Dad's picture. Even her wedding bands were her grandparents with the original engraving... now that's the stuff that gives me goose-bumplies!
