Destin - Tuesday shopping and Kilwins 8-26-08

We went to the Bass Pro Shop today, & yes, everyone bought something but us, it was fun looking though! Ashton and Lee went to Hammerheads for dinner, and we stayed at the condo with mom and Dave. Then we went to Kilwins for icecream, and they had one 'no sugar added' just for me!!!

We all brought our laptops... and at all times, someone is always downloading or surfing : )

Destin Florida August 23-29 2008

We are finially here! Right this minute, I am sitting next to Ashton in the condo, while we are both uploading pictures from the beach this morning. We drove down yesterday, and it rained the whole time. If anyone has watched the weather, Destin was smack in the eye of the storm when we arrived yesterday. We had a little rain last night, and this morning was BEAUTIFUL! We all got up and headed down to the pool, took walks on the beach, and stayed for a few hours. We just got back for lunch and showers... will send more pictures soon!

August 2008

August 1st, I had an appointment with my OB, Bartley, for a regular check up and sugar test. When I went in, they pricked my finger, and had me drink this straight sugar, orange flavored drink I had 5 minutes to down, and then drew blood 1 hour later to see how my body is digesting the sugar. They called me back the next day that I had failed. My levels were suposed to be below 140 and they were 160. But you know, "don't worry, the next test isn't too bad, it's 3 hours long, you have to fast, and they draw blood 5 times." Yeah. Can't wait.

Well I went back on August 14th (on a day off) and planned things to do the rest of the day so there was SOMETHING to look forward to that day. Well, they bruised my arms up, which still haven't healed all the way. But the rest of my day was fun! I called dad for lunch, we went to California Dreamin' and then I treated myself to a hair cut. When Beth got off work, she met me at Babies R Us with Anna to register. Ashton met us also, and we spent about 2 hours going through scanning all that looked fun. I really needed Beth there for her oppinion on some things, and Anna of course wanted to be involved in anything for Reagan. She is always asking "How's Reagan doin'? She's going to be here for my birthday, right?" She's very cited.

So, I got a call from Bartley on August 20th, telling me I have Gestational Diabetes. I have to start pricking my finger a few times a day, no sugar, which is basically all foods I have learned. My boss had an extra sugar test set I have been using, and so far I have had good levels. The diet isn't fun, but as long as Reagan is okay, I'm good.

Update... 6 months pregnant! Aug 3rd, 2008

I'm officially 6 months pregnant! I am now in my 3rd trimester, and am so excited I'm about to pop. I absolutely love my stomach right now. It hasn't gotten big enough yet to be uncomfortable, and definitely big enough to tell I'm pregnant. I can still bend over to put my shoes on, though those days are numbered, (it's getting close to flip flops only before long.) We have Reagan's room as ready as we're going to get it for now, and just minor things to finish up.
I can't wait to look back and wonder what life was like without her.

Tanner's 27th Birthday... July 20th

Since we just moved, we decided to have my birthday dinner at our house. Pete's parents, Beth, Anna, all of my family but Mom and Dave (because they are cruising in Alaska right now!) and a friend of Pete's all came over for a cook our in our new little backyard.

Getting ready for Reagan!

Well, we did it again. We moved. Now we have room for all 3 of us with our new little girl on her way. The office/nursery thing wasn't working out so well in the townhouse. We probably would have waited a little longer but the right opportunity came up, so we went ahead. (Not to mention, I HONESTLY didn't know we would be blessed with Reagan immediatly after deciding to start a family. : ) )

The house is only 2 miles down the road, in one of the old neighborhoods we used to live in. The whole thing happened pretty fast, and we officially moved on July 4th. The guy living here had to be out really quick, and Junior was able to get paperwork taken care of in just a few days. The house has really been updated, has a great yard with a pool, an office AND nursery. : ) We are right in the middle of everything, between all our family, and Wallyworld 1 mile away. What else could anyone ask for?

I know everyone stresses before a baby, but when it rains, it pours. We have had quite a few vacancies with our rentals, and all needing work, one Junior has to evict, and my boss cut me from 40 hours to 32 hours a week. Well, there are plenty of other things to say, but we'll leave it at that. Thank goodness Pete's parents have been able to help us clean one of the rentals that really needs it.

I've been having a hard time with limitations this pregnancy is putting on me. There is so much to do, and my body just gets tired quicker than it used to. We really haven't stopped much in the last month. We spent all our spare time moving which frustrated me not beening able to pick up heavy stuff. I have felt great throughout my pregnancy, especially considering what I've put my body through... Hopefully it will all be taken care of soon.
