Decorating for Christmas 2007
As usual, we decorated for Christmas on Thanksgiving weekend. For us it was a little different because we are in a smaller house now, so not as many decorations went out, and we accually have a littal tree this year. I love it. Chelsea and Tracie helped decorate of course, (Becca isn't as involved, teenager now you know) and Tracie has quite a talent in her decorating skills : )
Christmas is coming! Dec 5, 2007
For the last few years Ashton and I have made Christmas cookies to give out to everyone at work, and this year mom was able to join us. We made a whole lotta cookies, spent all day, and have found new favorites. So next year, everyone expect nothing but the favorite requests of gingerbread and sugar cookies! ; )
Ashton and Pie... Nov 22, 2007
Our new tradition is to take our Christmas card pictures on Thanksgiving Day out at Mom's house. This year we got a little carried away and came out with some of our favorite images we've taken yet. And now, we present to you... THE GLAMOUR GIRLS...

Pete's Dad- surgery Nov 20 2007
The Tuesday before Thanksgiving, Pete's Dad went in for surgery to have his hernia taken care of. That way he could recover over the Holiday. If anyone knows the Hawkes boys, they know the jokes that have come out of this situation. Well, Pete was almost on the same end of the joke too. He went in for a physical a few months back, and was told he had two hernias. He didn't want to do the surgery yet (because of our deductible) but since I had just recently WELL covered the deductible costs for the year with my surgery, he went ahead in to see the surgeon. We were all confused, but pleased to hear that he didn't even have any hernias.?.? Big Pete was looking forward to recovering with little Pete, but he had to do it alone. He recovered fine, and went back to work the next week. Read more...
We've moved, yet again :) October 2007
We have quickly adjusted to our new littal place. We absolutely love it. Our other house hasn't sold yet, but it will happen eventually. Robby and his daughter Aubrey helped us move the beginning of October (she lifted the heavy stuff.) This was the first time we haven't moved at the last minute in a mad rush, much easier to handle in a few weeks than days.
This Halloween we took the girls trick or treating while Dawn was at school. Pete took Becca and Tracie to see someone's haunted house while I calmed down Chelsea in the car with the radio on. She heard the moaning from down the road and SERIOUSLY freaked out, I just hope she'll go with us next year!
