We're getting close!
I will be 38 weeks tomorrow (which is the day Reagan was born) so I like to think any moment Scarlett could be here ; ) Since the 34 week sonogram I
last wrote about, things are looking a lot better. She was transverse at that point, and I was upset thinking I may have to have a c-section. Most babies are in position by then and when I went back at 36 weeks Dr. Bartley wanted a quick sonogram to check her position. I just knew she hadn't moved, and was SHOCKED to find out she was head down!!! I burst into tears when they told me, NOT expecting at all to have that reaction, and felt such a weight had been lifted. She was actually in the ideal position, facing my back and placenta at the top : ) They couldn't give me a face shot of her that day (at 36 weeks) because of her position, which is why I think she waited, hahaha!
We sure did get to see that beautiful face at the last sonogram!
My 37 week check up last week: 2 cm's dilated and still head down... Yesssss!!!
Reagan has been practicing being a sister to her baby doll.
She's got the diaper thing down, but is the MOST excited about teaching her. She sits her dolls down and shows them all the baby toys we brought out of the attic. She practices colors, the alphabet, and even how to count by 2's and 10's. She reads to them, and even sits them by her while she does her own school work so they can learn the same things she is that day.
I can't wait to see the two of them together.
I realize it probably won't be a dream
everyday, but I also don't think she could be more prepared.
House is ready. I AM ready. Reagan is more than ready.
However, still no middle name yet... we'll decide in the hospital I guess : /
This week we are finally going to have some beautiful weather, and I plan to take Reagan out for a last 'only child' session. These were taken a few months ago~ If
only I could get her to relax in front of the camera! Yeah... gotta work on that ; )
haha!
