Tea with a Dutchess {November 2011}

One of my best friends Beth, was celebrating her daughter's 7th birthday having 'Tea with a Dutchess.'  It was the most charming girly little place for a true tea party.  Anna had all her friends from Grandmama's there and was kind enough to invite little Reagan, the youngest in the bunch and SO thrilled to be there.  We were told the attire was 'your prettiest party dress'... so what did Reagan want to wear?  Her wedding dress.  I felt a tad goofy showing up with my 3 year old in a wedding dress, but Beth didn't care and Reagan was happy.  What else mattered.  : )

When we got there, they read a story to the girls and then everyone found a seat at the table.  They each got a craft (a wooden picture frame and markers to decorate) while one by one they had their faces painted.  I wish Reagan would have done the face painting, but I already tried a few weeks earlier in Disney World.  Wasn't going to happen.  After everyone was painted, the sugar began!  They brought out cookies, cupcakes, chocolate covered strawberries and the cutest little sandwiches.  After first pouring their tea of course.  : )  Cups of ice cream was next to arrive, and then... the birthday cake!  I thought we were going to have a sugar overload.  I kept reaching over and taking bites of Reagan's food so she wouldn't finish all of it.  Sheesh!  What could be better for a little girl though, they were all having so much fun, and I don't think Anna dropped her pinkie for a second the whole time.  Everyone loved it, and I will DEFINITELY be having Reagan's birthday here, maybe next year.  ; )
