These were taken earlier this spring, right before the rain hit. Downtown Riverwalk has flooded, tons of sinkholes, I think about 33 inches of rain in the last month. Crazy!
I can't wait til things get back to normal to take my little ladies for picnics like this...
Scarlett's first time eating from a spoon. Milestone!!!
I remember the same age for Reagan, and being so proud that all those rolls were grown straight from nursing. Yep. I make the good stuff ; )
Eating out of her great grandma's baby bowl. Family tradition I love : )
This is my ABSOLUTE favorite time of day, laying Scarlett down for a nap and bedtime. I love holding her tiny little self~ knowing how quick her sister has grown makes me hold on even tighter. What I miss the most after Reagan grew up was feeling the back of her head before her hair grew in. It's the one thing that changes so drastically when girls grow up, and I catch myself always rubbing the back of Scarlett's head and smelling her lavender baby shampooed hair. Her tiny neck is so irresistibly cute! I think this shot of us will sit on my nightstand til I'm an old lady, I melts me.
I know. Sometimes entirely too many pictures, but oh well : )
I think my favorite place in the house to photograph the girls is on our bed. They love bouncing, and it's really the only place that isn't too cluttered. We are on top of each other in our wonderful house right now. I LOVE our place, sooo much, but I really can't wait to turn it into a studio and move into a house with more than 3 interior doors, haha! We have been looking for months, and just a couple weeks ago fell head over heels in LOVE with a house. We put in an offer ASAP and someone barely beat us out. Grrrrr! They did come back and say that we would be the back up offer. Soooo I'm not wishing ill on this other family, buuuut... Let's just say maybe they will realize this isn't the house for them, step aside, and give it to us. With every fiber of my being, I feel this is meant to be our house. Perfect floor plan, enormous perfectly flat yard, not in a neighborhood, just the right amount of fix up needed, I mean PEEEEERFECT. It even has well water. And close to all our family. And nearly 3 acres. And a screened in porch. And, did I mention the incredible lot? Seriously, a beautiful blank green canvas. Every moment of every day I can't stop thinking about what we would be doing in that house right now. Planting trees, painting the girls rooms, building a playhouse in the back yard, oh I can just taste it. To make matters worse, Junior has it just as bad as I do. I can be easy to please, but for him to be heartbroken too says a lot. He took Reagan to Lowe's the other day and said it was torture thinking of all the things he wanted to do to 'our' house. It REEEEALLY is the perfect house for our little family. For the first time ever, we found a home we could actually see raising our children in. AHHHHHH!!!
A couple of days ago, I was dressing Scarlett and let out a frustrated moan/growl out of nowhere and Reagan just shook her head. "Shoulda dot dat house huh mommy." I about died laughing!
So we continue to search.
But I am praying that we find out in the next few weeks that we can move into the house I call ours.
A girl can dream. Right?!
Enough moping... here are two little babes that I am so thankful to have.
