Meet Asher. {November 12, 2011}

Boy is this the cutest kid ever.
I haven't seen his awesome mommy SaraBeth since her wedding day, one year before he was born.  A visit way overdue with my best friend, and finally getting to meet her son without skype was so incredible.  She and her family came in town for her brother's wedding and it was so nice getting to see the group again. Reagan was 7 months old the last time we saw everyone,
so they really got to 'meet' her for the first time too.

SB and Asher flew in a couple days early, and I had them all to myself ; )  We took them to our favorite lunch spot, favorite stores, and spent some time at the barn.
Asher LOVES horses, or as he says 'dio' which is Hebrew for giddee-up.

My favorite part of their whole visit, was driving with SB in the front seat and our two kids giggling in the back.  It will be my favorite memory, but also makes me miss her even more.  We have been best friends since we were kids, and I just wish we could raise our own children closer together.  Hopefully we'll be able to visit them again soon.

I was BEAMING when Reagan rode that day.  Tracy let her ride BY. HER. SELF!

It had never crossed my mind and really didn't know if she was ready, but apparently so. : )
She was so proud of herself, and rode for what felt like forever.  I could not have been more happy.  Tracy really took time to teach her, getting her feet in the stirrups and how to get the horse to go and stop.

She was paying attention so well and aged 2 years out there in the ring.  I could just pop.

Oooooh, this just melts me...

Can you tell he had fun!?!

I thought she was going to explode.

Tracy let her hold the reins and lead the horse to the barn,
and this expression passed her face at LEAST 6 times.  : )

We went by to visit Unsa Aba and Aunt Abash after the barn...

Ashton's gecko Pascal~

Megan came up to visit, and was about 6 weeks from her due date with her first baby William.  We actually all went to elementary school together at Prep, and it was so good to visit with her.

Flashback!
(Megan in pink, SB hit with paint balls, and I'm the grump in polka-dots)

Asher's cousin Anya~  she and Reagan had so much fun together

Awesome visit, love you guys!

Halloween... late. {October 31, 2010}

Yeah, yeah.  Well at least I'm not posting after the new year... How embarrassing.

Reagan looked super cute in her ladybug costume for Halloween this year.
  We only went to see her grandparents and a couple friends since she's so little- sugar isn't one of our favorite things to feed her since it makes her grumpy!
Our first stop was at Paw Paw's house, and these shots are priceless to me.

This is the house I grew up in.  I have such good memories here, from when my parents were married and us 3 kids were together.
I lived on my roller skates in this parking lot, and played hide-and-seek in the kennels.

I walked this wall ALL the time when I was little, and it's the first thing Reagan wants to do when she's here.

The staircase were Ashton and I stood for pictures in our Christmas dresses every year, or posing with our crimped hair and the occasional matching outfit.

My ballet recital picture Mom took and framed in the house was taken on these stairs, with the same baby-blue carpet.  Talk about a flash-back.
Brings back a lot of memories especially for my Mom, who hasn't walked them in years.

The Front Doors.
You don't realize how neat something is as a kid because you don't know any different.  My parents really did a great job on this house, with it's cool funky roof lines : )  One of my favorite things growing up was the front doors.  The cut glass is beautiful and I always remember the rainbow light pouring through them in the morning as a kid.
I love them, and they could never be replaced.

I will have to get some pictures of us at home as kids, but that's for another day.  I was lucky to get this far...

On to the next!-
SaraBeth's Mom, Savta, came to visit us!
She was in town to see Eva (her legitimate grandchild) : ) and brought Reagan birthday presents. She opened them while we skyped with Aunt SaraBeth and Asher so they could watch.
I so wish SaraBeth lived here...  We still haven't met little Asher- it has been since her wedding that we last hugged her : (  Reagan was only 7 months old!  Whenever her name comes up, Reagan runs to the laptop to see her- she thinks she lives in the computer.

A few weeks ago Reagan got a framed picture of SB and set it up on her picnic table.  She shared her cookies with her, her sippy cup, and even wiped her mouth to get the smudged cookie crumbs off the glass.  Yeah, she misses her too.

And some smiles from the park : )

Baby Salzman {Due June 2010}

Look familiar?  Yep!  SaraBeth and Eran are having a baby!
Her actual due date is her 1 year Wedding Anniversary!
Too cool huh?!  You can't PLAN things like that!

So...
She is STILL in Chicago, and we are planning on purchasing our plane tickets the minute her water breaks.  Eight days after he is born there will be a Jewish ceremony called a Bris.  Basically where the Rabi circumcises him, gives him his Jewish name, and they announce his given name to family and friends.  They kept such beautiful traditions in their wedding, that it is only fitting they are carried through to their children.
Although I'm quite possitive he will have a name I won't be able to pronounce.
I'll love him anyway : )

Stay tuned for some newborn shots soon!
We can't wait to meet him!
