Fambly Project...(for mom and dad) April 2007

Pete's parents have been thinking for years of what to replace thier old carpet with. Carpet or wood, back and forth. She had already picked out her wood, she just thought she would put it off for a while. Well we got the perfect opportunity to do something for them that we knew they would appreciate. They went on a Princess Cruise together the week after Masters, and as soon as they pulled out the driveway, we were over there pulling up carpet. Every night after work all 5 of us were there working to meet our deadline of Sunday 6:00! Dawn, Troy, Kristina and a couple of nights Dawn's guhls were there. We each took a night making dinner and I don't think any of us have had that much fun working in our lives. None of us could get the smiles off our faces, just thinking of how happy this would make mom and dad. Everything came out perfect. The color was perfect and we did an awsome job installing, if I do say so myself ;-) We were all proud of ourselves, and couldn't wait for them to come home. We did meet our deadline, barely. We were cleaning, dusting and making dinner right up until the last minute.

I don't think it would have mattered what the floor looked like, they were just taken back that we had done this for them. And we would do it 10 times over if we could.

Atlanta Aquarium April 4, 2007

Masters week this year we didn't go cruising like we have the last couple years. Instead we spent a couple of days in Atlanta. We went to the Mall of Georgia on Tuesday and spent a few hours walking around (and never saw anything twice) and then saw a movie, The 300, in the IMAX theatre that was on the third floor of the mall.!.!.! We stayed in a hotel and got up first thing to meet Troy and Kristina Wednesday morning at the Aquarium. It was so beautiful! We spent a few hours there and ate T.G.I.Friday's for lunch before heading home... It was a wonderful trip... and alot cheaper than cruising!
