Christmas is coming!!!
Without realizing it, we created a fambly tradition for Becca and Tracie. The morning after Thanksgiving, we pick the girls up and they help us pick out our Christmas tree. We take it home and they get to help us decorate. We did this once a few years back and from then on they have always wanted to come. This year was even better because Leddie was in town too, so we had a car full of help... We had a great time.
Thanksgiving Day- Pine Camp- 2006
I'm so thankful that my in-laws get along with my fambly, or the holiday's wouldn't be near as fun. For thanksgiving, Junior's whole fambly all comes out to my mom's house and also Alden, Allie, Ashton and Lee. Junior usually deep fries the turkey, and each household makes a few dishes and deserts.
Here's Alden and Ashton's fambly pictures we took on Thanksgiving, hopefully they'll use them for Christmas cards
Thanksgiving Day Lunch 2006
Sometimes cooking for thanksgiving can be over-rated... So Dad decided to take us to Golden Corral. We had a great lunch, and the most important thing happened... we spent time together on the holidays, even if we didn't cook!
New Babies in the Fambly!
Mom was feeling weak, and wanted to find a play buddy for zippally-doo, and here came Coach! the newest member to the Pine Camp Fambly! He's a 16 weeks old silver tabby and has a wonderful personality. Pete's brother Troy also has a new child... Hershey. One of the tiniest littal wha-wha's you ever did saw :-) Cirsie is worried about loosing her title of the Littalest Littal in the Wuhld!
HALLOWEEN!!! (This one's for you Dave!)
Yes, I know, you wouldn't normally think something so beautiful could come from something so nasty, but yes, this is our mother... Thank goodness this wasn't a good day! HA HA MOM! This right here, beleive it or not, is the most wonderful woman in the whole entire WUHLD! She is the best sport about anything, and as my boss said when she saw this picture, "Now that is one confident WOMAN!"
We've Moved!
We just recently moved to a new house further from town but closer to home. We are now only 2 miles from Pete's parents and only 6 miles from Mom and Dave. We have been constantly been working on projects from the time we closed August 31. We started with hardwood floors in the living, dining and entry, then replacing all the baseboards there and in the kitchen to the 5 inch type. Everything has been painted except the betyumes on the other side of the house which are just white, this was a must b/c we were left with lovely orange sherbert and spicy mustard. Then came 14 new bushes out front and 6 flats of pansies. Oh and we moved the mailbox to the other side of the driveway and cased some pansies around it too. We hung new plantation blinds in all windows except the spare betyumes, and Junior put trim around the windows in the main living area and kitchen. Right now we are working on getting new chair rails and waynes coating done in the dining room. I'm quite proud of Junior, on top of all the work we've done, and all the apartments we have had to fix up in the process of all this, he is also building an entertainment center for us. We haven't ever been able to find anything we like enough to buy, so he decided to build it. We are in the process of painting right now, it should look great. Here's just a couple pictures of the house, and for Christmas I will put up pictures of the inside... Love you guys!
